Every Holiday season, I get harassed by family members that I'm hard to shop for. You see, I tend to buy myself basically whatever I want. I'm a shopaholic. I don't mean to be, but I am. On the flip side, my husband is equally hard to shop for. He, too, tends to end up with everything he wants. So big, fancy gifts like new game consoles and things don't make a splash because he already has it. We are "the Person Who Has Everything". And being both that person, and having to shop for that person, I know how hard it can be to come up with ... Keep Reading
Everything from food to home decor, landscaping to DIY projects. Just me living and sharing my best life.
Fall used to be my favorite season. Until I bought a house and realized that fall leads to winter, and winter sucks. So now my favorite season is spring. But I'm still a sucker for everything that fall brings with it - cooler weather, beautiful leaves, pumpkin spice everything (I am basic af.) Not everything on this list is fall-themed. More than anything, I wanted to share a peek into my life - I haven't blogged since May, and I spent my summer struggling with myself and my mental health, so now that everything is good, I want to share. So, ... Keep Reading
First things first. I am not a doctor or medical professional. This post isn't meant to be a substitute for real medical advice from said professionals. It also isn't a paid review. It is simply my personal experiences with Nexplanon. I fought with myself on whether or not I should publish this. Some people may not like it. Conservative family members, perhaps it's best to look away. But if you're interested in, or considering getting Nexplanon, maybe I can be of some help. What is Nexplanon? I'm going to try to keep this short and sweet. ... Keep Reading
This morning, for the first time since nearly February, I disabled News Feed Eradicator and took a look at my Facebook news feed. I turned it back on about ten minutes later. The Dark Side I've noticed since I (mostly) left Facebook, I've been feeling more isolated, and less in-the-loop. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing - I like my space - but at times it can be rough. I had thought, perhaps, that turning the news feed back on, maybe I'd see something new or interesting that would spark a conversation and draw me back in. I thought that ... Keep Reading
I love home ownership. I adore having a space to call my own. And, quite honestly, I don't think I've ever been happier than I've been since we moved into the house. Next month will mark an entire year since we started the home buying process. While I wouldn't turn back the last year for anything, there are definitely some things I know now that I wish I'd known then. Your Water and Your Sewer Bills Aren't Necessarily The Same Thing Living in apartments, or with my parents, for the entirety of my adult life, I'd never had to pay a water ... Keep Reading
Heads up! This post contains affiliate or referral links. To learn more about my use of Affiliate Links, click here. Well, okay - love is a strong word. But it made cleaning my house a whole lot more enjoyable. I've been sticking to my social media detox pretty well - I haven't looked at my Facebook news feed in well over a month. But I'm still using Pinterest and Instagram, and I've been ~ intrigued ~ about the things I've been seeing from Grove Collaborative. I needed to stock up on cleaning supplies anyways, so I thought I'd give them a ... Keep Reading
